Chipola River Adventures
Located along the scenic riverbank on Magnolia Road, Chipola River Adventures offers the perfect launch point for a relaxing day on the water. Whether you’re looking to paddle the beautiful Chipola River by kayak or enjoy a leisurely tubing trip, this spot is a great option for soaking in North Florida’s natural beauty. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters and lush landscapes, it’s an ideal experience for both adventure seekers and those just looking to unwind.
Located on Merritt's Mill Pond in Marianna. They offer kayaking rentals and have RV camping and cabin rentals.
Hinson Conservation and Recreation Area was completed in 2012 under a partnership between the Florida Trail Association and the City of Marianna. In 2012 the Department of Interior designated Hinson Conservation & Recreation Area as a National Recreational Trail.
The trail head begins at the scenic Chipola River and turns to form a four mile loop around the park passing caves?? sink holes and short bluffs along the 226 acres. Birding and wildlife enthusiast love this park for its great spotting. The park is located one mile south of Marianna on Highway 73, open daylight to sundown. There is a boat landing available to put into the Chipola River.

Spring Creek is a two-mile waterway fed by Merritt’s Mill Pond in Marianna. Water from the Mill Pond passes under Highway 90 and flows down Spring Creek before entering the Chipola River.

Coolers are welcome—bring them along! Just a quick reminder to skip disposable items. Please pack your food and drinks in reusable containers like zip-top bags, reusable containers, thermoses, insulated cups, or sports bottles. Coolers with ice are perfectly fine to keep everything fresh.
